Just a quick note to say that I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!!!
This is a wonderful holiday as you give thanks for all of your blessings. I would also like to give thanks for the many blessings from Taekwondo - new friends, camaraderie, many laughs (and some pain), a healthier body, something to share with my kids and of course a deadly back kick. :)
This post was set on time delay & posted while I was away in China. The beauty of technology.

Pinky Promise
My children's Taekwondo Master made them pinky promise that they would practice their Taekwondo when they are in China (as we are off to visit my wife's family). The boys have to get ready because they have a belt test when they get back.
Since I don't want to piss off any potential Korean Taekwondo gods, I had better help the boys with their Taekwondo forms... as we munch on dumplings, fumble with chopsticks and suck down bird nest soup! :)

Best Martial Arts Music
Here is my list of the best martial arts music. Of course, the list starts off with "Kung Fu Fighting". :) "Bad to the Bone" is probably a pretty good second choice (other than I associate this music with the TV character, Al Bundy).
I have added these songs to an Amazon widget so you can hear about 30 seconds of each.
If you have any other good suggestions, please post them in the comments section below. I will try to add them to the widget.

Obama & Taekwondo
During President Obama's visit to Korea, he is going to be presented with an honorary Taekwondo belt. I hope that he has to do at least a spinning hook kick to get it.
For more, read this article.
It says that he took Taekwondo for four years and only reached the green belt level. Obama had better stick to politics. He was a US Senator for only 3 years and was able to become the President. :)

Kareem Abdul Jabbar & Martial Arts
Just heard that Kareem Abdul Jabbar has leukemia & I wanted to wish him the best.
I know you are asking "What does Kareem have to do with Taekwondo?". Well... besides being a great basketball player, Kareem Abdul Jabbar was/is into martial arts.
In case, you don't remember his great fight scene with Bruce Lee, I have added it to our video section (under the Bruce Lee category).

P.S. If you want to learn more about leukemia or want to donate to help find a cure for leukemia, please visit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society website.
